It is proved that the formation of early maladaptive schemes of drug addicts occurs in childhood and is based on parent-child relationships, which carry only emotional coldness, rejection of the child, reduction of positive emotions, lack of acceptance and support. Such relationships lead to the accumulation of negative experiences, which is a factor in the premorbid formation of addiction and certain behavioral styles of the individual in adult life; characterized by a stable experience of negative states of the emotional sphere of the individual, which come into sharp conflict with the ideological, moral or aesthetic principles and attitudes of society.
It was found that emotional states and early maladaptive schemes (EMS) are interdependent, as early maladaptive schemes are one of the predictors of the formation of the emotional sphere of personality and further emotional state is an actualizing factor in activating the formed EMS, which are characteristic of all types of drug addiction.
