The scientific novelty of the obtained results is the solution of an important scientific task to deepen the theoretical and to develop and substantiate the theoretical and methodological foundations of the potential of innovative business partnerships in strategizing the development of industrial enterprises. The first section highlights the theoretical foundations of development strategy and innovation strategy of industrial enterprises, their retrospective changes at the terminological level. The structural-substantive characteristic of the general strategy of the enterprise is given and features of strategy of the industrial enterprises are allocated. The influence of the innovation life cycle on the formation of innovation strategy of industrial enterprises at the strategic and operational levels of planning, which helps to identify innovations, quickly determine their location in the innovation process and unify the characteristics of factors by their influence and strength. The second section examines the strategic directions and trends in the development of domestic enterprises. The main problems of innovative development of domestic industrial enterprises are formulated, including the variability of the external environment, low level of innovation activity of small and medium enterprises and the competence gap for strategy in general and innovation strategy in particular. In the third section, conceptual models of strategic mechanisms in the innovation strategy of an industrial enterprise and the use of the potential of innovative business partnerships are developed. Methodological approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of the innovation strategy of an industrial enterprise based on such principles as the peculiarity of the strategy process and the logic of balancing goals-resources-constraints, which allows to assess the effectiveness of the life cycle stages of the innovation strategy and its management. Recommendations and methodological and analytical tools for identifying, assessing, reducing the risks of innovation and reducing the risks of using and underutilizing the potential of innovative business partnerships in the innovative activities of industrial enterprises are proposed. A system of indicators for strategic, current and operational evaluation, description of their results by stages of the life cycle of the innovation strategy is proposed, the difference of which is the sequence of risk assessment, fuller coverage of the problem area, information-analytical comparability and correlation of data and results.
