Essay

The paper presents research findings on psychological aspects of overcoming educators’ professional stereotypes in the context of reforming preschool education. The research concerns the following issues: firstly, the objective requirements for the transformation of the educational system in the current socio-economic environment the main period of which is preschool education; secondly, the scientific and practical relevance of socio-psychological, psychological-acmeological, and organizational-managerial factors that to some extent determine the processes of stereotyping teachers, increase the risk of burnout, reduce social status and value of the profession of educator; thirdly, insufficient scientific and practical grounding of stereotyping in regard of its psychological impact on educators of preschool educational institutions. Overall, the purpose of the research is to lay a theoretical foundation to the psychological aspects of the issue and create experimental and methodological support for overcoming the professional stereotypes of educators of preschool institutions.
