Svystun I. Public Associations as a Factor in the Democratization of Ukrainian Society

The object is a problematic field of democratization. The objective is identifying the functional potential and role of public associations as a factor in the democratization of Ukrainian society. Methods - comparative, statistical, systemic. Theoretical and practical results - the analysis of effective ways of democratic transit in Ukraine. Novelty - for the first time the author's variant of the strategy of research of public associations within the communicative paradigm of J. Gabermas is offered; working models of political practices have been formed, which reproduce the main directions and specifics of the functioning of public associations; the content of the problem field of the democratization process and the peculiarities of the structure and internal organization of public associations have been clarified; the provisions on the peculiarities of the connection between the democratization process, the formation of civil society in Ukraine and the level of functioning of social capital have been clarified; Approaches to the classification of modern public associations in Ukrainian society were further developed, as well as the peculiarities of the development of the democratization process in Ukraine in two spaces (real and virtual) were clarified.
