The study presents a theoretical justification and proposes a new solution to the problem of forming vocal and performing mastery of Chinese students in the context of the educational space internationalization. The issue of academic mobility of students from the People’s Republic of China has been regarded in respect to their assimilation of the achievements of the European vocal school and the acquisition of mastery in performing the world vocal repertoire of various cultural and historical periods and artistic styles as a way of mutual enrichment of the musical and national traditions of the East and West as well as the enrichment of the artistic field of Chinese society.
The purpose of the study is the theoretical substantiation, development and experimental verification of the method of formation of vocal performance skills among Chinese students in the conditions of the internationalization of the educational space.
The scientific novelty of the study is that for the first time: the methods of forming vocal performance skills of Chinese students in the conditions of internationalization of the educational process in a foreign cultural environment arescientifically substantiated; the structural components of the studied phenomenon in the unity of worldview and informational, performance and technological, interpretive and artistic, communicative and synergetic components are singled out, the pedagogical conditions for the formation of vocal-performing skills of Chinese students are substantiated: stimulating interest in mastering the value and sense based diversity of vocal works in an intercultural projection; ensuring a student-centered and individualized trajectory of the educational process, taking into account the specifics of the future performing and professional activity of foreign students; stimulating the intention to creatively apply the acquired vocal and performing skills in solving current, nationally oriented professional tasks; methods and technologies were extrapolated from related types of artistic activity and adapted to research tasks, in particular: creative tasks to activate artistic emotions, spontaneous-visual communication, micro-motor improvisation performed during the voicing of vocal works, the use of a complex of articulation exercises, relaxation tasks and self-support in order to overcome the stage barrier.
The essence of the concepts: “vocal and performing skills”, the concept of “internationalization for mobility” has been specified, which is interpreted as “internationalization and mobility for personal, professional and national efficiency”. The methods of forming vocal performance skills of Chinese students – future singers-soloists and teachers of musical art – have been improved.
The methods of training students of the second master’s course of higher education in the specialty “vocal art” in Ukrainian pedagogical universities in the specialties 014 Secondary Education (Musical Art) and 025 Musical Art gained further development.
The practical significance of the research results lies in the development of mechanisms for diagnosing and identifying the levels of formation of vocal and performing skills in students of higher education institutions; implementation of the methods of forming Chinese students’ vocal and performance skills tested in the process of experimental research in Ukrainian pedagogical universities; application of methodical materials related to the individualized planning of the vocal educational process, the organization of self-guided work on the integral analysis and interpretation of vocal works and their preparation for performance, the description of trainings for the improvement of personal qualities, emotional and volitional self-regulation of future specialists, a complex of business games and creative projects (casting, concert, performing and creative competition, work of a jury member, independent performance as part of an international ensemble); development of a bank of vocal and informational data (links to thematic sites, video clips and video films with recordings of performances by singers and master classes of well-known vocal teachers from different countries, in particular from China, as well as their comparative analysis).
The results of the research can be used in the process of professional training of future vocalists and music teachers in the post-graduate education system, as well as for the purpose of promoting self-education of both Chinese and Ukrainian specialists.
