The dissertation presents the results of a theoretical generalization of the genre-stylistic specificity of the chamber-vocal work of the famous Ukrainian composer Volodymyr Runchak.
The relevance of the study is justified by the need for further scientific understanding of the artistic phenomena of the modern musical culture of Ukraine, in particular, various aspects of the musical creativity of leading Ukrainian composers. The work of the famous Ukrainian composer, conductor, public figure, ardent propagandist of modern music Volodymyr Runchak was chosen as the object of research, which embodies the leading positions of Ukrainian modern musical art and which attracts the attention of researchers not only for its originality and stylistic novelty, but also for bold experiments in in the field of genre and form creation. A significant part of the relevance of the chosen research topic lies in the significant growth of the interest of art historians-researchers from the People's Republic of China in the artistic assets and advanced achievements of modern musical culture of European countries, in particular Ukraine.
The scientific novelty of the study is as follows: For the first time, V. Runchak's chamber and vocal work became the subject of a special comprehensive theoretical study; the main body of chamber and vocal work of V. Runchak is considered. Runchak and systematization of his works according to genre specificity; a comprehensive analysis of the main chamber and vocal works of V. Runchak was carried out and the peculiarities of their genre-stylistic and compositional organization were revealed. The general creative, ideological and worldview, figurative and thematic priorities of V. Runchak's compositional work have been specified. Ideas and characteristics regarding the uniqueness of V. Runchak's creative method and his personality in the context of the development of modern Ukrainian musical culture have gained further development. A new look at the creative output of V. Runchak as a phenomenon of modern chamber and vocal music culture is proposed.
The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of using its materials in lecture courses of art higher education institutions, in particular: «Modern music», «History of vocal art», «History of Ukrainian music», «Theory and history of vocal performance», «Methodology of teaching solo singing»; theoretical and practical courses: «Analysis of musical works», «Music-theoretical systems», «Modern techniques of composition in performance practice», «Performance interpretation»; classes in the specialty (solo singing) and chamber-vocal ensemble, composition class, etc. A certain part of the material of the conducted research can be used in lecturing practice regarding modern music, annotations and musicological accompaniments of concerts of modern music, in particular works of V. Runchak.
The conducted historiographical analysis of Volodymyr Runchak's work as a composer highlighted the main genre areas of the artist's creative output, which have already undergone a certain scientific understanding and are today in the active field of view of musicologists. This analysis also made it possible to outline the most important theoretical aspects and topics of musicological research, which were aimed at studying the specified genre directions of the composer's work.
It is emphasized that the creative activity of V. Runchak in the context of modern Ukrainian musical culture shows a phenomenal character, which is due, on the one hand, to the universality, scale and breadth of the spectrum of directions of this activity and the results of its implementation, on the other hand, to the significant artistic contribution of the composer, characterized by a high and impeccable artistic quality, bright individuality and general recognition of him in Ukraine and many foreign countries.
The conducted analytical tour of the general compositional work of Volodymyr Runchak makes it possible to reveal the ideological, worldview and image-thematic priorities of his work, which directly influenced the very nature and content of this work and which are reflected primarily in the theme of the composer's musical works, determine their genre-stylistic and compositional attributes etc. So, the most important such vectors of the musical creativity of Volodymyr Runchak are: spiritual-reflexive and sacred orientation, which is directly manifested in the purely cult (quasi-cult) created by him, as well as in extra-cult; processing and transformation of the deep folklore principle, which resulted in the appearance of a significant number of neo-folkloristic compositions of large and small forms; gravitation to performance and instrumental theater with elements of acting of the musicians themselves.
