Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of formation of design competence in future teachers of technical disciplines (pedagogical workers of vocational (vocational) education institutions) on the basis of interdisciplinary approach in the process of their preparation in higher education institutions. Based on the analysis of normative documents regulating the process of training future teachers of technical disciplines in higher education institutions and future skilled workers in vocational (technical) education institutions, the competency approach is identified as the most common for the organization of the educational process. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, it is established that the quality of the educational process in the system of vocational (technical) education depends on the qualifications and professionalism of teachers, in which (in the process of training in higher education) should be formed a full range of professional competencies effective implementation of professional and pedagogical activities. Based on the study of normative documents on professional training of future teachers of technical disciplines, scientific works of scientists on this issue, it is confirmed that among the list of professional competencies that should be formed in these specialists is design competence related to the design of the educational process. Based on the analysis of the scientific literature, the concept of design competence as an integrated result of educational training is defined, and it is specified to the teacher of technical disciplines. The structure of design activity of a teacher of technical disciplines, which consists of motivational, cognitive, operational and reflexive components, is considered and characterized. Based on the analysis of the design activities of the teacher of technical disciplines identified types of didactic projects that can be performed by them: a project of training skilled workers, a project on the discipline, a training module project, an integrated thematic project, a project on a topic or lesson. It is established that the integrated result of educational training of a teacher of technical disciplines can be obtained through the application of interdisciplinary approach in the educational process, which creates conditions for the implementation of links between different sciences, holistic and comprehensive application of knowledge and skills in practice, activities and life. An analysis of the state of development of the interdisciplinary approach as one that promotes the formation of competencies and provides an integrated result of educational training in pedagogical science and practice. It is revealed that the implementation of the interdisciplinary approach in the process of competence formation is ensured by establishing interdisciplinary links between disciplines, developing appropriate tasks and pedagogical conditions, choosing a certain format of education. An analysis of the training of future teachers of technical disciplines at the Ukrainian Academy of Engineering and Pedagogy to study the formation of their design competence and the application of interdisciplinary approach, which showed that the content of training and tasks performed by students do not allow them to develop skills types of design activities, and the issue of interdisciplinary approach in the process of formation of these specialists design competence is given insufficient attention. To solve this problem, a theoretical justification and development of methods for the formation of design competence in future teachers of technical disciplines on the basis of an interdisciplinary approach.
