The dissertation research focuses on the field of legal regulation of youth social protection. In general, according to the normative direction, it is possible to single out the main vectors to which the norms of regulatory documents are directed. Such vectors include: 1) social welfare of youth, which is a system of socio-economic measures aimed at materially protecting youth from social threats 6 manifested by illness, disability, unemployment, accidents at work; 2) social services for youth, which is a system of social activities aimed at supporting and providing services by social services to individuals or population groups to overcome or alleviate life difficulties, maintain social status and live a fulfilling life; 3) social support for young people (long-term action), manifested through social benefits and services provided for by legislation, the implementation or provision of which are implemented by institutions of social protection of the population at the expense of the state and local budgets, the Pension Fund of Ukraine, the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine, and other sources, not prohibited by law; 4) social assistance to youth (one-time action), manifested through support of youth whose financial situation does not correspond to the generally accepted level of security or is below the limit of security defined by legislation, which can be state, charitable, humanitarian, monetary or in-kind; 5) social integration of youth - a process that consists in the adoption and establishment of optimal relations between young people and other members of society and their subsequent transformation into a single integrated system in which coordinated and interdependent parts are based on common goals and interests. It is noted that the youth as a social group is characterized by common features that make it necessary for the state to promote its integration. So, today, for example, there are still unsolved problems in vocational education, because a significant number of graduates remain undemanded in the labor market and are forced to work outside their specialty; in addition, according to statistical data, a fifth of young people are officially unemployed, especially women, the issue of low legal culture and awareness of young people about opportunities to improve their social situation in Ukraine, etc., also remains open. Therefore, the integration of young people into the labor market is one of the most important directions for improving their social situation as a whole. It is emphasized that the social assistance of youth is best understood as the entire system of economic, legal, and organizational measures implemented by the state with the aim of creating the most favorable environment for the development 7 of youth, their formation in society, prevention or neutralization of difficult life circumstances with which youth can to face That is, state social assistance is a peculiar component of social protection of youth, but with the exception of its organizational and legal form, such as non-state social security, the existence of which was discussed in one of the subsections of the work. Attention is drawn to the fact that on the way to increasing the effectiveness of social assistance to youth, it is necessary to overcome a number of existing problems in the future: to provide for socially vulnerable representatives of youth and young families, especially those who are unable to independently overcome their life problems; to improve the quality and popularization of social services for youth, in particular by actively involving representatives of the non-state sector; establish interaction between state and civil society representatives, redistribute powers between them in the field of social support for youth; to spread the practice of attracting alternative sources of funding for social security in general and young people in particular.
