The dissertation on competition of the philosophy doctor degree. A specialty 053 “Psychology” (field of knowledge 05 “Social and behavioral sciences”). – National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi, Kyiv, 2023.
The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical and experimental study of clarifying the psychological features of the pregnant influence of the reflexive competence of an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (hereinafter, an officer) on his professional development in the system of postgraduate education.
The military-professional activity of an officer, as a specific type of professional existence, which mainly has a subject-subject character, requires his formed reflexive competence, conditioned by the need for him to implement specific job duties in specific conditions of activity. That is why it is always important for an officer, as a subject of military professional activity, to determine to what extent positive and negative results will affect the course of his activity. Hence the need for its specific analysis and substantiation, which requires special reflective skills and abilities: to correctly form goals and transform them into models for the performance of specific combat (educational and combat) tasks; apply a set of actions adequate to the initial conditions to solve the main and secondary combat (training and combat) tasks; to ensure compliance of the activity content with the assigned tasks; to effectively choose methods, techniques and means of military-professional activity; ensure compliance of the used organizational forms with the obtained results; evaluate sources of success and causes of failures, mistakes and difficulties in the implementation of assigned combat (training and combat) tasks; project subject-subject interaction taking into account the need for coordination of professional positions and group roles of subjects of military-professional activity, and most importantly, cooperation of their joint activities as a combat team; to understand one's own experience of military-professional activity in the context of its integrity, relevance, expediency and effectiveness.
The ability of an officer to organize his development, aimed at consciously improving reflective competence, is an important property of a professional to independently acquire new knowledge and acquire the necessary skills, which is important for ensuring his effective professional activity and career growth. In the process of military-professional activity, the officer does not act according to an abstract scheme, but with the help of various contextual forms, he solves tasks necessary for his service, directs his existential activity to find optimal ways to solve them. Accordingly, reflective competence prompts him to permanently rethink his own actions and beliefs about the correctness of his own actions as a professional in military-professional activities and is certainly the basis for subjective and professional growth as a military manager. The conditions for the officer's professional development are his reflective attitude towards himself as a professional, the ability to creatively rethink past and present professional experience and combine them with an effective future.
The analysis of the main scientific approaches to the reflexive competence of the officer as a factor of his professional development and self-development made it possible to determine the complex theoretical and methodological basis of our research, which became the following leading positions of interrelated methodological approaches:
• the systemic approach determines the need to study reflexive competence in dynamics, according to its various aspects (in particular subject, professional, military-professional), which are considered inseparable from each other; according to the structural components of reflective competence (personal, communicative, cooperative, intellectual), which must also be considered systematically, because in the absence of any of them, an inadequate "self-concept" of the officer is formed);
• the competence approach is aimed not only at raising the awareness of officers, but also at psychologically ensuring the conditions for the development of their reflective competence;
• contextual approach allows to create conditions for interpenetration of educational and professional activities as a way to achieve the optimal level of reflective competence development;
• the subject-activity approach determines the officer's ability for self-regulation and self-development as a subject of military-professional activity.
These methodological research approaches make it possible to solve the problem of the reflexive competence development of an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the psychological foundation of his professional development.
