The dissertation was prepared at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The defense of the dissertation will take place in the specialized academic council of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Kyiv - 2023 This dissertation is dedicated to the study of the influence of ethnolinguistic identity on the level of psychological well-being of an individual. In the work, a theoretical analysis of the state of the problem of studying the psychological well- being of the individual in modern dimensions of psychological science, the peculiarities of the study of ethnolinguistic identity as a psychological scientific construct, the peculiarities of ethnolinguistic identity as a factor influencing the psychological well-being of a modern individual is carried out. Conceptual models of the influence of ethnolinguistic identity on the level of psychological well-being of representatives of outgroups (linguistic minorities living on the territory of Poland) were built and substantiated. We consider psychological well-being as a multidimensional and dynamic construct, which in modern society consists of dimensions where positive experiences and satisfaction of basic needs are considered important. Psychological well-being is considered from different perspectives, and different scientific disciplines consider this psychological construct important. It affects other personal parameters such as personal productivity, life satisfaction and interpersonal characteristics. Psychological well-being includes the subjective, social and psychological dimensions, health-related behaviors and practices that add meaning to a person's life and enable them to reach their full potential. Most researchers agree that happiness is a sign of optimal psychological functioning that enhances life experience. Therefore, it is understood as a set of factors that motivate people to strive to meet their expectations, highlighting a person's personal situation in the context of happiness. For example, people cannot change the following circumstances: country of birth, ethnicity, physical sex. Various studies have analyzed this framework from different perspectives based on the relationship between psychological well-being and individual invariant traits. Given the sociocultural context in which a person develops and which represents the world of expectations that a person can have about their life and the strategies they can employ to meet those expectations. Thus, psychological well- being is a characteristic of each population group, which is determined by the types of tangible occupations and interests that stimulate its expectations. It is assumed that belonging to one or more communities is an individual's self-definition and can have a significant impact on an individual's identity. Given this assumption, the identity traits of individuals belonging to language communities and how the communities were integrated into the overall social context were investigated. In particular, the social identities of representatives of the Ukrainian-speaking and foreign-speaking communities in Poland were analyzed, and the features of their ethnolinguistic identity were described. We define the linguistic identity of minorities as a holistic combination of features and characteristics of linguistic behavior that act as both a basis and a barrier for an individual. Therefore, the view of national linguistic identity as a link between linguistic aspects of identity and psychological consequences is based on the assumption that language is an important psychological variable and central to the individuals involved. This suggests that the factors most likely to mediate the relationship between subjective experiences of ethnolinguistic identity and psychological well-being may also differ among immigrant and minority groups in different countries. Which in turn actualizes finding ways to protect the identity of minority groups.
