The thesis is devoted to the research of the set of mechanisms of realization of power strategies for constructing macropolitical identity, on the basis of world historical experience. It also aims to find out the possibilities of its use in the political practice of modern Ukraine.
The introduction of the dissertation defines the relevance of the research topic, outlines its object and subject, purpose and objectives, research methods, scientific novelty and practical significance of the results, as well as information about approbation.
The scientific novelty of the obtained results is due to the set of research tasks and consists in a comprehensive study of the developed (theoretical and practical) approaches to the construction of macropolitical identity in Ukraine in the context of world historical experience.
The results of this study are of practical importance, which is the possibility of their use in the development of macropolitical identity policy in Ukraine, legal framework and criteria for its analysis and evaluation, as well as academic study of theory and practice of macropolitical identity in Ukraine and the world. At the same time, the dissertation research creates a basis for further analysis of the world and Ukrainian experience of instruments, strategies of political actors in the formation of macropolitical identity. The provisions of the dissertation may be of interest to political actors of different levels (political parties and leaders, civil society structures), who act as subjects of creating strategies for the formation of macropolitical identity in Ukraine.
Also, the presented factual material and research results can be used in the development of educational and scientific-methodological literature in such disciplines as: «Analysis of public policy», «Political culture», «Political psychology», «Political sociology», «Political processes and political relations», «Political conflict theory», «Political crises and risks», etc.
In subsection 1.1. «Evolution of the concept of identity in political science» traces the process of involvement and development of the concept of political identity in response to current problems within the social sciences: determining the role of political culture in shaping political institutions and processes, and overcoming the dichotomies of «structure / agency» and «micro / macrostructures».
In subsection 1.2. «Conceptual-categorial apparatus and methodological base of research» considers the formation and current state of the conceptual-categorical apparatus of identity research in the field related to the subject of this study, as well as identifies theoretical approaches and methodological basis of research.
In subsection 2.1. «Historical experience of building macropolitical identity: developed approaches» studied the processes of origin and gradual establishment in political practice, and later, in theory – understanding that macropolitical identity is the result of certain efforts, which can lead to awareness of citizens of their connection with the country, followed by the process of accumulation of such knowledge.
In subsection 2.2. «Components, factors of influence and tools for constructing macropolitical identity» – the author presents his own vision of analytical tool for macropolitical identity analysis and on what criteria can be analyzed strategy for macropolitical identity. For The third section «Constructing macropolitical identity as an urgent problem of political development of modern Ukraine» provides an analysis of the approaches and methods of constructing macropolitical identity in modern Ukraine. Ways to reform the strategy, the formation of macropolitical identity.
In subsection 3.1. «Approaches to the construction of modern Ukrainian macropolitical identity» studied the Ukrainian experience of building macropolitical identity.
In subsection 3.2. «Ways and Prospects for Improving Strategies for Forming a Macropolitical Identity in Ukraine» explored how domestic experts saw the prospects for creating a macropolitical identity policy, what tools they advised to use and how to propose to adjust the strategies implemented by the political elite.
