The dissertation study is devoted to the comprehensive study of the impact of cognitive-behavioral therapy on anxiety in patients with schizophrenia. The degree of effectiveness of using cognitive-behavioral therapy methods to overcome anxiety in patients with schizophrenia has been tested and determined. Based on the analysis, it was established that the high prevalence of the combination of schizophrenia and anxiety symptoms is associated with a pronounced genetic predisposition of such patients to numerous cognitive and emotional dysfunctions, as well as asthenic manifestations. The achievements and trends in the development of cognitive-behavioral therapy, as one of the main approaches used in the practice of providing psychological services in the clinic of endogenous mental diseases, as well as the possibility of its use in working with patients with schizophrenia who have concomitant anxiety symptoms, are analyzed in detail. The problem of the combination of schizophrenic and anxiety symptoms was considered from a general psychological standpoint, in particular, psychological mechanisms and factors of their close connection, which made it possible to enrich the understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of schizophrenia and indicative directions for achieving its remission. It was established that anxiety is positively related to the level of severity of such symptoms in schizophrenia as delusions, paranoia, auditory hallucinations. A conceptual model for the management of anxiety states in patients with schizophrenia has been developed, which includes a number of mandatory elements, namely: examination, construction of a therapeutic formulation and definition of the targets of psychotherapeutic intervention, psychoeducation and socialization to the patient's therapy, application of an arsenal of psychotherapeutic techniques of the cognitive-behavioral approach, monitoring changes in the psycho-emotional state of the patient after psychotherapy, consolidation of positive results of psychotherapy. An approach has been developed, the main essential features of which are the assessment of each individual functional component of experimental research in the context of studying anxiety states in patients with schizophrenia. A pronounced combination of the symptoms of schizophrenia and anxiety was revealed, which is evidenced by the almost complete absence of respondents with a normative level of anxiety. After a psychotherapeutic intervention built on the basis of a cognitive-behavioral approach, the presence of statistically significant differences in the indicators of the intensity of the subjective experience of anxiety and the somatic-functional symptoms of the experience of anxiety, as well as the levels of expression of personal and situational anxiety, was established. The specified diagnostic indicators have become significantly smaller. It was also recorded that there was a significant decrease in the number of subjects of the experimental group with a subclinical (moderate) level of expression of various aspects of experiencing anxiety and types of anxiety, as well as a significant increase in the percentage of subjects of the same group with a normative and mild level of certain symptoms of experiencing anxiety. The percentage of respondents with a clinical level of subjective anxiety did not change. It has been experimentally proven that the techniques and methods of the cognitive-behavioral approach can significantly reduce the subclinical level of severity of anxiety symptoms to normative diagnostic indicators, and will also allow to normalize their psycho-emotional state. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the research lies in the deepening of the understanding of the psychological mechanisms of anxiety-phobic symptoms in patients with schizophrenia, as well as the nature of the influence of anxiety symptoms on the course of schizophrenia. For the first time, correlations between the type of schizophrenia course and the level of severity of personal anxiety were established, as well as the tendency of schizophrenia patients to the appearance of symptoms of anxiety disorders of various types was empirically proven; for the first time, the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy in working with the symptom complex of anxiety states in patients with schizophrenia was experimentally proven, and the prospects for further development of the psychotherapeutic support system for such patients were determined. The practical significance of the study is that the most effective psychodiagnostic means of detecting the level of anxiety in patients with schizophrenia, which can be used at the diagnostic stage of working with such patients, have been empirically identified; the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral approach in working with the symptom complex of anxiety states in patients with schizophrenia is proven and the arsenal of psychological techniques of cognitiv
