Essay

The dissertation presents and statically verified the influence of the non-verbal aspect of communication on managerial activity. The object of the research is the professional self-assessment of the individual. The subject of the study was the non-verbal aspect of communication in managerial activities. The main goal of the work is to identify significant features of the non-verbal aspect of communication in managerial activities, based on which to systematize the techniques of non-verbal influence and experimentally verify this integrity. In order to achieve this goal, a number of tasks were formed that reproduce the logic of the research process: 1. To substantiate the conceptual-categorical field of research and analyze the main approaches to the study of the non-verbal aspect of communication in managerial activities. 2. Specify the functions of means of non-verbal communication in managerial activities. 3. To analyze the influence of proxemic features of the non-verbal aspect of communication in managerial activities. 4. To identify meaningful indicators of the components of non-verbal behavior of managers. 5. To develop a system of techniques of non-verbal influence in managerial activities, to experimentally verify its efficiency and effectiveness. 6. To systematize the differences of non-verbal means of communication in managerial activities in different cultures. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the obtained results is that for the first time:  specified non-verbal codes that exist in business communication (universal non-verbal codes relating to threat signals and emotional reactions that are biologically determined; non-verbal codes capable of simultaneously transmitting different messages using the muscles of the face and body of a person, voice, etc.; codes, that cause an automatic response without thinking (for example, a reaction to a red traffic light); spontaneous non-verbal codes: physiological reactions of a person that occur involuntarily and that can be calculated by others);  the content of the functional, philosophical-anthropological, linguistic, semantic, neurophysiological approaches to the study of the non-verbal aspect of communication in managerial activities is established based on the grouping of existing information in the following directions: integrative; psychological; psychological and pedagogical; sociocultural;  the author's classification of the functional load of various groups of means of non-verbal communication in managerial activity is highlighted: kinesics (expressive expressive movements, posture, gestures, facial expressions, gait, direction of movements); prosodic; extralinguistic; such things; proxemic;  proxemic features of non-verbal business communication, which affect the efficiency and effectiveness of management activities, are revealed (organize communication in an intimate space to motivate subordinates to professional success, showing empathic listening, full acceptance, emotional support, benevolence, warmth, compassion and tact; flexibly apply non-reflective and reflective listening techniques, ask open-ended questions; in conditions of personal distance, seek compromises during the discussion of controversial issues, which generate new opportunities for solving business, interpersonal problems and conflicts; consciously give and show initiative, flexibly apply different communication styles, as well as optimal types of listening and speaking; in conditions of social distance, emphasize belonging to the same team and interest in the prospects of further relationships; resorting to communicative interaction in the social space to evoke a sense of freedom in the interlocutor, to convince him of his independence from the organization and common cause, self-sufficiency, ability to develop, to motivate and encourage him to make free responsible choices and independent decisions; having created a public distance, direct subordinates or partners to find moments of commonality, unity of business positions, commonality of corporate interests and goals; in the conditions of a public distance, use non-verbal communication techniques, make approving head nods, demonstrate a direct, radiant look, a voice rich in modulation).
