Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying factors affecting the system of competitions and the justification of the organizational and methodological conditions for holding eSports competitions, considering modern trends. The aim of the work is to investigate the factors influencing the system of competitions and to justify the organizational and methodological conditions for conducting eSports competitions considering modern trends and international experience. The object of research is the system of competitions in e-sports. In the process of completing the dissertation, the following methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodological literature and the Internet; analysis of normative documents, rules, and competition format; analysis of competition protocols and video analysis; surveys; methods of systematization and generalization; method of expert evaluations; methods of mathematical statistics. The scientific novelty of the work: the factors affecting the conduct of eSports competitions are substantiated, including game format, game platform, competition organizers, competition venue, competition broadcast, prize fund, competition rules and regulation, audience; external (social support, cultural features and the external environment of competitions) and internal (player's psychological state, lifestyle, age, nutrition and physical fitness) factors affecting the performance and success of players in competitions in e-sports disciplines are determined; justified organizational (legal and legal foundations, infrastructure and logistics of competitions, management of teams and players, sponsors and financing, security and anti-doping measures) and methodical (development of rules of the game, technical requirements, formats of competitions, evaluation and qualification systems) conditions of competitions and prospective ways of developing e-sports in Ukraine, including competition structuring, educational integration, support and development of e-sports, effective marketing promotion; it is determined that the system of holding competitions in eSports has differences from competitions in sports in general, where the elements of this system are a variety of competition formats, the structure of holding tournaments, the presence of a stable Internet connection, the interaction of players with the virtual environment, continuous participation in the competition, and the absence physical contact between participants; the common characteristics of eSports with sports in general were revealed, which emphasizes its legitimacy as a form of sports activity and opens prospects for further development and integration into generally recognized sports systems; global trends in the development of the eSports competition system have been identified: dynamic growth of the eSports market, professionalization of participants, globalization of the audience, innovations in tournament formats, active interaction with investors and brands, mass media; new knowledge was gained regarding the development of eSports as a sport in the world and the system of conducting competitions, the significance of eSports as a social phenomenon in the international sports movement was proven. The development of the system of e-sports competitions in Ukraine involves the comprehensive implementation of strategies covering the structuring of competitions, educational integration, support and development of e-sports, and effective marketing promotion. The priority is to create structured leagues that will ensure the consistent development of talent at all levels. Implementing these strategies will allow Ukraine to create a sustainable and competitive e-sports ecosystem that meets national and international standards.
