The object – of the study is the process of training future social workers in institutions of higher education of Ukraine.
Purpose of the study – theoretical substantiation of the research problem and experimental verification of the effectiveness of socio-pedagogical conditions for the development of social skills (soft skills) in future social workers in institutions of higher education.
Research methods: theoretical – analysis, synthesis, comparison, systematisation, generalisation, modelling to substantiate the basic research questions; empirical – generalisation of practical experience to identify socio-pedagogical conditions for the development of «soft skills» in future social workers in institutions of higher education; socio-pedagogical experiment – included and indirect observation, diagnostic survey, questionnaires, interviews, finding out the levels of development of «soft skills»; methods of mathematical statisticst.
Theoretical and practical results of the research, their novelty. For the first time, the socio-pedagogical conditions for the development of «soft skills» in future social workers in institutions of higher education were identified and experimentally tested. For the first time, the author's model of soft skills development of future social workers in institutions of higher education was developed and tested. The content, forms and methods of developing soft skills of future social workers in institutions of higher education have been further developed.
The collected and analysed factual material, as well as theoretical provisions and conclusions can be used to effectively solve scientific and practical problems of modernisation of the higher education system in Ukraine, to productively expand the content of lectures, practical and seminar classes on educational components in the process of professional training of students majoring in 231 «Social Work» in institutions of higher education of various accreditation levels, as well as in the preparation of textbooks, manuals, methodological recommendations for students and postgraduate students, teachers, researchers.
Based on the results of the research work, a dissertation «Development of social skills (soft skills) in future social workers in institutions of higher education» was prepared, specialty 231 «Social Work», field of knowledge 23 «Social Work».
