The study thoroughly analyzes the retrospective of the formation and development of administrative and legal regulation of combating psychological violence (mobbing) in the National Police of Ukraine, which resulted in the following stages of evolution: first stage: research and educational (from the beginning of the XX century to the 1990s); second stage: Increased attention to countering mobbing and implementation of educational measures (1990s–2000s); third stage: emergence of legislation and corporate policies (2000s–2010s); fourth stage: focus on psychological aspects and support (2010s–2020s); fifth stage: influence of technology and media (since 2020s). It is substantiated that psychological violence (mobbing) in the National Police is an unacceptable form of behavior when police officers are subjected to systematic psychological oppression, prevention or limitation of access to resources and opportunities, rude attitude, insults, blackmail, intimidation or other intentional actions or inactions, with for the purpose of harming the health of a person or controlling an injured person. The author classified mobbing in the National Police into the following types: 1) verbal mobbing; 2) emotional mobbing; 3) social mobbing; 4) physical mobbing; 5) sexual mobbing; 6) cyber mobbing; 7) organizational mobbing. At the same time, according to the direction of action, mobbing in the National Police is classified into: conscious, unconscious; according to the number of perpetrators: collective mobbing or personal mobbing; depending on the type of psychological influence on: latent mobbing and open mobbing. It is argued that the mechanism of administrative and legal regulation of combating mobbing in the National Police of Ukraine is a set of administrative and legal tools that are used to regulate social relations in terms of countering the use of psychological pressure in the form of actions or inaction of police officers in the process of public service in order to prevent negative consequences , which can lead to death.
