This paper researches the grammatical phenomena of the passive voice in modern Spanish and defines its status as functional-semantic category, explains structural, semantic and communicatice-pragmatic features of the cinstituents of functional semantic field of passivity (participle and pronominal constructions, participle constructions with instrumental or agential object, lexical means to express the passive meaning). Peculiarities of their context realization are revealed on the base of definition of communicative functions of the constructions with passive meaning.
