Essay

The relevance of the study is due to the need to create a comprehensive methodology for the study of polysemous words representing the concept IDENTITY in the Castilian, Mexican, Chilean national versions of the Spanish language. The increased interest of linguists in the national and cultural uniqueness of the use of polysemous lexical units in different national variants of one language is due to the fact that they reflect the features of national consciousness and thinking of a particular linguistic community, speech and speech mechanisms and the relationship of linguistic phenomena and features of language picture of world of different peoples. The scientific novelty of the dissertation research is the development of a comprehensive methodology for the study of polysemous words that denote the concept of IDENTITY in the Castilian, Mexican, Chilean national versions of the Spanish language. For the first time, a set of various methods and techniques for the analysis of language material was used and verbal means of manifestation of the concept of IDENTITY in these linguistic cultures were analyzed and systematized. In addition, the cultural potential of the lexical unit, features of verbalization of the concept, formed under the influence of extralingual factors, national and cultural information of denotative and significant blocks of polysemic words representing the concept IDENTITY.
