Essay

Tendencies of educational content formation in state schools, the major ones are gradual transition from monocultural to multicultural education and further development of bilingual educational content, are investigated. Among other tendencies we single out the development of basic education, systematic reform, differentiation, computerization, humanization, Americanization, standards of educational content in American schools. Theoretical basis of educational content in schools in the USA and Ukraine, education of the main ethnic groups is being researched. The general characteristic of American school education is given, the analysis of major school subjects is carried out.
