The dissertation is devoted to definition of social - historical and cultural preconditions of occurrence of clubs, features of development and activity in the countries of Western Europe and the USA; to examination and analysis of the condition of scientific researches in club activity with the purpose to concrete the definition of the categorial - conceptual device; to realization of a substantiation of concepts "club", "club activity"; definition of the main tendencies, factors and laws of development of club at the present stage. The scientific novelty of work is, that for the first time in a domestic science: in a theoretical context the features of cultural - leasure activity in establishments of a club type in the countries of Western Europe and the USA have been analysed and generalized the categorial-conceptual devices ("club", "club activity") have been specificated for understanding the essence and nature of club as social and cultural phenomenon; to specificated the categorial - conceptual device in the theory cultural - leasure sciences ("club", " club activity ") for understanding of essence and nature of club as is carried out socioculture of a phenomenon; in social and historical aspect has been opened the procedurality of formation of a club type establishments in countries of Western Europe and the USA; hereafter the majorant of their social and cultural importance has been determined and is determined a majorant their sociocultural importance; the functional system of foreign countries clubs activity is reasonable which has allowed to show typology of type club establishments and the polyaspects character of their development; the technology of club activity with various generation categories of the population is opened, the basis with which the personality-guided. approach is determined; the significant quantity of unknown earlier to Ukrainian leiseruscience references of new documents and facts is entered to a scientific and methodical revolution and is analysed according to the resear ch problems; the practical recommendations concerning use of foreign club experience in domestic club practice are developed. During theoretical research is carried out retrospection of historical and welfare conditions of occurrence of club institute, features of development and process of establishment in the countries of Western Europe and USA; the questions of direct connection between dynamics of culture club type establishments and qualitative historical changes are analysed; problems of mutual club relations and separate person during public ability to live. The sociocultural majorant of club is certain which is shown that the club acts as one of compensatory and catalyzed phenomena of a society, that reduces or assists complete elimination of the welfare conflicts and complications; is by the original answer to specific problems of system, which arise during her evolution; updates values, sights, interests, behaviour of the person. The research is proved, that cultural - leisure club type establishmen ts create favorable conditions for: use training opportunities of a community and microsocium in their complex with the purpose of creative potential development of a person; practical attraction various social - demographic of layers of the population in active welfare creativity, in sports - improving, game, art - aesthetic, relaxation activity; orientations of the person to own interests and needs for conditions of free time; opportunities of realization itself as individualities; infotranslation values of global culture; preservation and enrichment of natural environment. The system analysis of clubs typology and club type institutions proves: - In the countries of Western Europe and USA is given advantage to development cultural - leisure of club type institutions ; - The new concept of club activity is formed depending on growing diver of cultural - leisure interests (art, intellectual, social, physical, practical) in interrelation with problems of the individual everyday life; - The conditions of occur rence of a line different clubs are created: recreation - entertaining, improving, sports - entertainment; - The sphere of welfare establishments extends which provide functioning of club type institutions (cultural - enlightening establishments, cultural - household complexes, hotel-tourist institutions). It's proved, that cultural - leisure club type establishments are innovation behind the essence; unique by welfare, pedagogical complexes, which integrate activity of family, schools, religious community, cultural - art of associations, and direct it on realization recreation and development, moral and aesthetic potential of leisure, formation of a healthy spiritual generality. Cultural - leisure club type establishments are multicomponents, each structurally functional unit, which has the purpose and task, that allows to realize personal microprogram of leisure. Is formulated the recommendations for perfection of domestic club activity, namely: optimization of techniques of study, generalization and use of world achievements of club practice and tendencies of clubs development; definitions directions of club policy with the account social - demographic features of the population and as a result an attraction of each person to active cultural - leisure activity; the development essentially of new model of culture on a club type institutions, which answers to modern requirements of functionless and welfare essence, creates positive, socialized environment at the expense of a social - pedagogical club type complexes activity.
