Essay

The thesis deals with the research of pupils' selfgovernment and its role in modern Ukrainian school. The place of pupils' selfgovernment from its birth and up to the present is studied. The Ukrainian tradition concerning pupils' selfgovernment is shown. The author's experience on this problem accumulated for the period of 25 years is described. The defenition of the term "pupils' selfgovernment" is given, the periods of pupils' selfgovernment in national school are defined.
