Essay

The subject of investigation: dogs, goats, clinic and physiologic indicators of an organism. The research goal: development of the anaesthesia method by double successive injection of the 2% lidocaine solution through a catheter that was placed in epidural space. Methods: clinical, laboratory, instrumental, rentgenological. Theoretic and practic value: efficiency of the epidural anaesthesia by double successive injection of the 2% lidocaine solution through a catheter that was placed in epidural space a usage by longterm operations in dogs and goats has been proved. Scientific novelty: the method of prolonged epіdural anaesthesia in dogs and goats by double successive injection of the 2% lidocaine solu-tion through a catheter that end part was placed on the level of the fifth lumbar vertebra after lumbosacral epidural punction has been worked out. The catheterisation of epidural space by some injections of anesthetic solution has been done in goats first. A degree of an intrusion: the research results have been inserted in clinic practice, academic and scientific work of surgery and obstetrics departaments. Field of application: Veterinary Medicine.
