Pertsova I. Semantic transformations of words in poetry of J. Brodskiy.

The dissertation is dedicated to the study of the nature, mechanisms and basic types of semantic transformations of words in works of literary fiction in general and that of J. Brodskiy in particular. In this dissertation poetic text is considered to be a semantic system, the existence of which is determined by semantic changes of words. Semantic transformations of words in works of literary fiction reflect flexibility and "elastisism" of the language. Meaning and changes of meaning are determined by gnoceologic, aesthetic and linguistic factors. Their influence has an interwoven character and reflects the dialectal unity of word and notion, language and thinking. In accordance with this, the typology of linguistic and extra-linguistic factors of semantic transformations of words in fiction texts is researched in this work. Idiostyle peculiarities of semantic transformations are analyzed in the context of the world image perception by the artist on the background of universals of poetic communication. Four main types of semantic transformations of words have been singled out in the literary works of the poet: implicit additions to the meaning, contextual synonymy, forming of expressive connotation (caused by the creation of occasionalisms and depoetisation), combinations of semantically different words.
