Essay

The dissertation sets forth a historical and pedagogical analysis of causes of homelessness and child neglect, the effects of homelessness on physical and psychological state of children, investigation of their social status. The dynamics of organizing homelessness control, contents, forms, methods of teaching and educational work in child welfare institutions are set out. The comparative analysis of the causes and nature of child homelessness in the twenties and the nineties of the 20-th century is set out. Recommendations for improving the work with homeless children in boarding schools and also measures to prevent homelessness are given. The results obtained in the course of investigation will be a contribution to historical and pedagogical science. The facts gathered and systematized may be used in the course of teaching history of pedagogy, pedagogy, psychology.
