Karpilyans'kyj D. Socio-psychological conditions of group norms formation in military collectives of the units manned in professional basis

Object of research - group norms formation in military collectives of Ukrainian Border Troops units manned on a professional basis. The purpose of research - to ascertain under what social-psychological conditions of group norms formation in military collectives of the units manned on a professional basis the group norms of the critical relation to military discipline infringements are formed and to define the basic ways of such norms formation. Research techniques and apparatus - scientific methods of a theoretical level, methods of empirical research and mathematical statistics. Theoretical and practical results. The content of the concept "group norm of military collective" has been specified. The technique of group norms contents ascertaining in collectives has been adapted to the conditions of Border Troops of Ukraine. It was ascertained the influence on group norms formation of such social and psychological conditions as system of official discipline norms and sanctions, cohesion, value orientation integrity, potential and real stability of military collective, developmental level of military collective etc. The practical recommendations on the group norms formation in military collectives in terms of critical attitude to infringements of military discipline have been elaborated. Novelty - the group norms are construed for the first time as an element of military collective psychological structure; for the first time the technique of group norms contents ascertaining in BG of Ukraine is applied (in terms of discipline infringements); the basic social and psychological conditions of group norms formation in military collectives defining the critical relation to infringements of military discipline including cohesion, value orientation integrity of the collective, its demographic composition, potential and real stability, level of social development etc are ascertained; the ways of discipline strengthening of in military collectives manned on a professional basis have gotten the further development. Extent of introduction: the received results are used during the lessons on military psychology and pedagogy, on technique of educational work in National Academy of Border Troops of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, and during practical activity on military discipline strengthening in UBG. Sphere (area) of implementation - higher military educational process, retraining of the military staff, practical activity on military discipline strengthening in UBG units.
