Essay

Investigation object – economic training of the future border guard officers. Investigation aim – to substantiate theoretically and verify scientifically the pedagogical conditions of effective formation of the future border guard officers’ economic culture. Investigation methods – theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, comparison, modeling, systematization, generalization); empirical methods (questionnaire design, conversation, direct and indirect observation, method of expert evaluation, self-evaluation); pedagogical experiment; methods of mathematical statistics. Theoretical and practical results – two interrelated but in workmanlike manner peculiar substructures unite within the structure of the border guard officers’ economic culture: instrumental (economic knowledge, skills, abilities) and value-oriented (economic values, attitude to economic theory, basic orientations, needs). The following criteria of the cadets’ economic culture formation have been defined: value-motivational, cognitive- informational, operation-efficient. The most important pedagogical conditions of the future border guard officers’ economic culture formation are: putting in order the content and structure of social and economic subjects which would meet the contemporary requirements as to border guard officers’ economic competence; the cadets’ value attitude formation to economic knowledge and motivation of their cognitive activity; utilization of active training forms and methods; continuous monitoring realization of the cadets’ level of economic culture. Introduction novelty – the pedagogical conditions of the future officers’ economic culture formation have been defined for the first time; the essence and structure of the border guard officers’ economic culture have been specified; criteria, indices and levels of the cadets’ economic culture formation have been defined. Introduction degree – the research results have been introduced into educational process of the National Academy of the Border Guard Troops of Ukraine named after B. Khmelnytskyi, Research and Scientific Institute of the Border Troops of Ukraine. Utilization sphere (branch) – in the process of professional and humanitarian training of the personnel in military units, military educational establishments, officers’ further training.
