Essay

The dissertation is devoted to study of hypoammonemic and hepatoprotective properties of L-arginine L-glutamate and its dosage forms - Glutargine in tablets and injection. On the models of acute and subacute hyperammonemia it was established that the medicines mentioned above possess the significant ammonia neutralizing action, which resulting in weakening of clinical signs of intoxication, diminishing the mortality of experimental animals, reducing the level of ammonia in the blood and in the brain, activating the urea production as a main way of the ammonia utilization in the body. In different ethiopathogenetic patterns of the compromised liver function L-arginine L-glutamate (Glutargine) shows an expressed membrane stabilizing, disintoxicating and antioxidative actions, efficiently restores the protein synthesizing and lipotropic functions of the liver. In HCl-hydrazine intoxication Glutargine shows the high antidote efficiency due to its great degree of defense index (1.84) and antitoxic capacity(1.23).
