Dissertation contains aesthetic and art history analysis of abstractionism as outstanding phenomenon of the XXth century culture. Abstractionism is considered as a kind of reaction to hrincipally new culture processes of the end of the XIXth - beginning the XXth, especially to number of non-traditional philosophy ideas - neopositivism, psychoanalysis, intuitivism, anthroposophy, transformation of science and technology innovations to art sphere. Process of creative individuality formation is reconstructed using biographical method as well as the ideas of great importance for modern art such as creative process specifics, colour as " emotional tonus" of art work, iconography in art of the XXth, synthesis of arts and synesthesia are stressed. Dissertant pays great attention to analysis of creative work and theoretical heritage of Vasily Kandinsky and to the great scale of his influence on ukrainian art of the XXth. The evolution of religiosity was marked by "abstractisation" of the idea of supernatural as well as the development of ethical norms and the religious etiquette, active development of religiosity out of confession or church, de-centralisation of religious postulates and religious "time-serving".
