Essay

The object of the thesis is the phenomenon of picture- panel in Russian painting of the end XIX-early XX centu- ries. The thesis is devoted to researching of the unknown artistic nature of tendency of transformation from easel picture to panel in Russian painting of this period. New complex methodology was proposed. The scientific origi- , nality is the conception of the structure of artistic imagery of picture-panel. The results may be used for researching of symbolical painting in art of the end XIX-early XX cen- turies and contemporary painting and graphic, which has a symbolical component of artistic imagery.
