Essay

The thesis deals with a complex diachronic and synchronic linguistic analysis of juridical adages in French language, which represent an especial historically conditioned type of paremic expressions. The present work determines original sources of French juridical adages, and also explains theirs actual status. The communicative realization of juridical adages, determined by the symbiosis of semantic, pragmatic, sygmatic and syntactic factors is examined in the aspects of the language sign theory. Both scientific and poetical tendencies determine its style particularities: phrase syntax constructions, metaphors and paronymical attraction.
