Aldakimov D. Principal pathogenesis factors and new approaches to the treatment of congestive heart failure in chronic obstructive bronchitis patients.

The dissertation is devoted to the study of principal mechanisms of development of initial signs of congestive heart failure in patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis. In order to reach the aim of the study the pulmonary ventilation and hemodynamics were evaluated in chronic obstructive bronchitis and coronary artery disease patients, presenting the same stage of congestive heart failure. There were also studied the changes, induced by the influence of bronchodilative, positive inotropic agents and the medicines, lowering increased intratoracic pressure. It was proved that initial signs of impaired systemic circulation could be a consequence of extracardial factors, e.g. increased intratoracic pressure and extracardial blood deposition. Stimulation of inotropic heart function in these patients with glycosides had not been always effective. The complex therapy using bronchodilative medicines, expectorants and special respiratory exercises could lead to the liquidation of congestive heart failure signs.
