A set of mathematical - technological models is developed to solve the task of operative optimal distribution of empty car flows under range of transportation directorate. Some experimental research of car flows is performed taking into account a day's and within the - day unevenness. The system of improved mathematical models is substantiated and developed on the basis of time series of analysis and forecast of car flow parameters. The task of operative distribution of car flows is researched at different categories of information: i) taking into account stochastic peculiarities and the necessity of plan corrections ii) taking into account priorities of forwarding stations.For the first time the task of operative distribution of a car flow is formulate as a two stage task of a stochastic programming and realization of requirements of forwarding stations is presented by vector model of an operative optimal planning. It is shown that a two-stage model of planning allows a 10% reduction of operationcosts. A structure and functions are developed and a system of information and control is created for operative optimal distribution of empty car flows under the area of the Krivoy Rog transportation directorate.
