The topic of present thesis is devoted to examination of historical-pedagogical aspect of organizing scientific-research work of students in the Ukrainian universities of the XIXth century. For the first time there was realized an attempt of the whole analysis of formation and development of studentsў science in Ukraine during the period of investigation; the main stages of develompment of studentsў scientific-research work are observed. The political and sociocultural conditions, which influenced the studentsў science development, and the roles progressive Ukrainian intelligencia. Are defined. The content of studentsў scientific-research work of the Ukrainian universities is analyzed, Its basic forms, means of stimulation, reasons and essence of higher school reforming are determined. In the present work the ways of creative use the field of studentsў scientific-research work organization in the universities in modern conditions are shown.
