Essay

Research object - physical, chemical, cytologic and bacteriological changes of cows' milk caused by the development of subclinical mastitis. Research purpose - experimental grounding of objectivity of laboratory diagnosis methods: finding out some aspects of etiology, pathogenesis as well as working out of treatment - and - prophylactic measures in cows suffering from subclinical mastitis. Methods of research and devices - clinical, cytologic, bacteriological and biochemical. Luminescent microscope ML-2, microscope BIOLAM, set of chemical reagents. Theoretical and practical results: scientifically grounded the necessity of complex diagnosis of subclinical mastitis in cows taking into consideration consecution of inflammatory process development. Experimentally proved further development of laboratory methods of subclinical mastitis diagnosis in cows according to indicators of pH milk changes, quantity of somatic cells and variety of secreted microorganisms. The leading role of microorganism in etiology of subclinical mastitis has been proved. Necessity of complex usage of methods of pathogenetic, etiotropic and aspecific therapy of infected cows has been grounded, methods of medicamental prophylaxis of subclinical mastitis worked out. Novelty of innovation: it was firstly proved the diagnostic and prognostic importance of cytologic content and milk leukogram by means of which pathogenesis can be determined. Level of introduction: methods of medicamental prophylaxis of subclinical mastitis in cows have been worked out. The requirements were introduced at educational farms "Komarnivske" and "Davydivske" - Gorodotskyj and Pustomytivskyj districts of Lviv region. Field of usage: veterinary obstetric.
