Essay

The theoretical achievements and practical experiment of the formation of the basis of the class mentor's work in the schools of Ukraine the middle of the XIX - the begining of the XX century are investigated. The author analised the political, cultural and pedagogical conditions of tutot's work system in Ukraine. The investment of the famous teaches and public men in the working out of the theoretical basis of the tutor's work system are researched. It's made clear that the long standing of the basis of this in institution (observation, mentor and group work) were preceded the tutor work as many function system. The thesis analised and generalized the context, forms and methods of tutor's work in Ukraine schools in the period of the middle of the XIX - the begining of the XX century and points out the posibilities of their use in the modern condurions.
