Kolesnyk O. The Mythopoetic Re-production of the Archetype.

The research forms an aesthetic basis for a conceptual analysis of the specific manifestation of archetype in mythopoetic and myth-like creation. Methodological basis of the dissertation is analytical, comparative, genetic, structural and functional approach to the investigation of Indo-European mythology and its re-production in art. The work investigates the essence of myth as a kind of world-attitude and integrating cultural phenomenon, proves mythological origin of the concept of archetype, differentiates the modes of its evaluation. For representatives of the traditional community all the events of life were considered to be re-production of the archetype. This understanding of art as inspired by some supreme powers was later reflected in non-classic Aesthetics. The dissertation also reveals the essence and the concrete forms of the modern remythologization of art.
