Ryadnova V. Antioxidants in complex therapy of diabetic angioretinopathies (clinico-experimental research).

The thesis is devoted to the experimental clinical basis of the differentiated treatment of diabetic angioretino-pa-thies using antioxidant preparation in accordance with the forms of diabetic retinopathy and the season of examining. Rats administered alloxan had considerable disturbances of carbohydrate and lipid exchanges, the increase of lipid free-radical peroxide oxidation processes; usage of antioxidant composition resulted in normalizing of that parameters. On the basis of the experiment results a clinical research of protective peculiarities of the antioxidants in patients with different forms of diabetic retinopathy in dependence on the season was carried out. It was shown, that соmposition of antioxidants gave the most evident results the winter-spring period in patients with both simple and proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
