The thesis focuses on the study of semantic, pragmatic and structural aspects of utterances with double negation in Modern French. The comprehensive analysis of utterances with double negation was carried out from the integrated pragmatics' perspective. In the course of examining semantic and pragmatic features of double negation are determined, dependence of semantics of an utterance with two negative meanings from its pragmatic purpose is revealed, means of double negation have been established, semantic and pragmatic peculiarities of evaluative utterances with double negation in French discourse and in advertisements in particular were also defined
