Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the discovering and investigation of the main ideas and fundamental theses of Florensky's original aesthetical conception represented in his iconology . The peculiarity of this investigation consists in the fact that it is made on the verge of aesthetics and religion. The aesthetical nature and religious content of icon's phenomenon , the peculiarities of its formation in the context of forming of Christianity in its orthodox version, axiological importance of iconpainting in the cultural space of Byzantine and Old Russian aesthetical traditions are revealed in the dissertation.
