Essay

An aesthetic analysis of creative work and process on the material of I.Y.Franko's creative work concept is carried out in this thesis. Regarding art as the result of a personality's creative forces development, Franko considered the artisan's personality to be of the principal significance. Individual psychological peculiarities of a person are denoted by him. He also proved an artisan is a "separate psychological type". Operating such notions as mimesis, calocagation, suggestion, "upper" and "lower" consciousness, poetic and "dreaming" imagination, Franko investigating phenomena characterizing the. Thus it was stated by the aesthete that the activity of conscious and unconscious psychological factors is the basis of a creativity, nay unconscious dominates there. Franko worked out a bundle of self-made theoretical aesthetic notion in his scientific works and in his aesthetic psychological-literature work "From the Secrets of Poetic Creativity" (1898-1899). It became possible not only to define the basic constituencies of a creative process but to enrich the Aesthetics with new notions of conceptual meaning with their help. Franko can be named the foundator of a literature Ukrainian language scientific style creation.
