Chikitkina V. Experimental study of anti-ulcerous activity of propolis polyphenol preparation - "Propoltin" capsules

. A pharmacological study of a new complex anti-ulcerous drug "Propoltin" capsules on the basis of propolis polyphenol substance was conducted in the thesis. It was established that the propolis polyphenol substance shows anti-oxidant, membrane stabilizing, immune stimulating, anti-helicobacter, analgetic and reparative activities. The indicated phramacodynamics provides pronounced anti-ulcerous activity of "Propoltin" capsules in the conditionally therapeutic dose 100 mg/kg at acute, drug and chronic experimental affection of the mucous membrane, of the stomach in rats. "Propoltin" capsules in dose 100 mg/kg show cytoprotective activities at acetyl salicylic ulcerogenisis, enabling to substantiate the possibility of application of the preparation in complex therapy of peptic ulcers, caused by aspirin. "Propoltin" capsules are relatively non-harmful, do not have allergenic and local irritating activity, does not effect gastrointestinal motility, secretory function of stomach and function of cavity andmembrane digestion. "Propoltin" capsules can be recommended as a anti-ulcerous drug at stomach and duodenum ulcer, including those associated with Helicobacter pylori, as a professional drug for treatment with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug.
