Essay

Didactics views of S.Rusova are analysed in the thesis. The origin and development of this outstanding Ukrainian pedagogue's didactics views are shown. Four main periods in this process are presented: the first one (1871- the end of the XIX century)- the interest arising and formation of pedagogical vocation; the second one -(the beginning of the XX century 1917) studying home and foreign pedagogics. deep consideration of new approaches in reformation pedagogics; the third one (1917-1920) - active work in the government of the Ukrainian People's Republic, in reforming the educational system in Ukraine; the fourth one (emigration years) -effective work in higher schools, creating fundamental research works with psychological and pedagogical purposefulness. S.Rusova's views on the subject and the main categories of Didactics, the essence of the process of teaching, the goals and aims of teaching, the contents, the principles, the forms, the methods of teaching, the requirements to teacher are analysed. The progressive didactic ideas ofS.Rusova, which can be used in creating conceptual basics for the upbringing and instruction system in the present day situation are found out.
