Essay

The object is the terminology of jurisprudence. The aims is the complex research of types of formal and semantic variation of terms of jurisprudence and ways of their representation in the sphere of functioning and fixation. Methods - method of the synchronic linguistic description, definitional and component analysis, contextual analysis and symptomatic statistics. In the work on the basis of systematic and communicative-pragmatic approaches it is determined that variation of form as well as variation of semantic is taken place in the metalanguage of jurisprudence. The main varieties of formal variants in paradigmatic and syntagmatic aspects are investigated here. It is also elucidated that variation of semantic of law terms is manifested as lexico-semantic variation (polysemy) or as variation of volume of one and the same term (conceptual polymorphism, ambysemy, evrysemy). The productive varieties of polysemantic and polymorphic of law terms and the reasons of these phenomena in the sphere of terminolexics are marked and examined. It is grounded in this work that variation of any kind is represented in the fragments of special text functionally and pragmatically stipulated. These fragments received the name of metatextual communicative situations (MCS). The types of MCS related to the metalanguage are assigned and the ways of representation of variants of terms in educational-scientific texts and terminological dictionaries are analyzed. It is indicated in the research that the variation of plan of expression in cognitive aspect and plan of maintenance are examined as a result of diversified scientific studying of law notions which certify about the dynamic of law terminosysteme and absence of stagnation in the process of cognition.
