Essay

The object of study - educational institutions of Jesuit order on Ukrainian lands of Rich Pospolyta in the second half of the XVII century. The purpose of work consists in complex research of the situation of Jesuit school system on Ukrainian lands of Rich Pospolyta in the second half of the XVII century. The methods used in the research are: problem-chronological, method of the periodization, descriptive, historical-system, comparative-chronological, historical-comparative, personological, method of the statistical analysis, classification, reconstruction. Dissertation is devoted to the research of Jesus Society educational institutions' history on Ukrainian lands of Rich Pospolyta in the second half of XVII century. Special attention is paid to the analysis of influence of the external conditions of existence of local Jesuit centers' in 1648-1700 on changes in their financial conditions and in structure of educational activity, to researching of pupils' staff of Ukrainian schools of order, to the clearing up of tendencies in changing of their teachers' level of intellectual training and experience, to the elucidation of determinants of these processes. In dissertation is also investigated the scientific and cultural potential of local centers of Jesuit education in the second half of XVII century, namely - organization and dynamics of their libraries, seminaries for musicians and school theatres activity, the volume and structure of creative legacy of Ukrainian Jesus Society schools' teachers. The practical value of the dissertation consist in use of its materials by preparation of educational courses on a history of Ukraine and Poland, specially courses on a history of Catholic church and humanistic education, by preparation of generalizing scientific works on a domestic and world history, course and degree works. The study of progressive experience of educational institutions of an order can be used during reforming the Ukrainian system of education.
