Essay

For the first time has been performed in the thesis a system research of the Hutsulian theatre, having created by H. Khotkevich in 1910 in Halychyna in the mountainous village of Krasnoyil, there has been detected a phenomenon of this original, art and ethno socio cultural appearance. As a result of a new conceptual approach, involving of the new source materials there has been realized a detailed reconstruction of the road show activity of the Hutsulian theatre, of the separate scenes of its shows, there were bridged the gaps in the history of this theatre. The show roads of the Hutsulian theatre throughout Halychyna and Bukovyna do cover the period since 1910 till 1912, and the concert group of the theatre throughout some cities of the Naddnipryanska Ukraine and including Moscow - March - July of 1914. The repertoire of the theatre, having included the original plays of H. Khotkevych, being written in the Hutsulian dialect, such as "Dovbysh", "The Hutsulian year", "Not Ordinary" and the play "Verkhovyntsi" of Yu. Kozhenyevskyy, having overworked by him, formed a cronical of the hutsuls' life in all their demonstrations. The phenomenon of the Hutsulian theatre lies first of all in its genetic connection with the traditional culture of the hutsuls, a sacrificial work of the theatre participants, overcoming of the counteractions of the Austrian-Polish power, an unique unity in its repertoire of the hutsulian themes and dialect, forming of the troupe from the local popular professionals, which were the carriers of the folklore knowledge's, having wonderful possessed the art of the speaking, singing, dancing, playing the musical instruments, improvisation. The Hutsulian theatre became as an art and ethno-socio-cultural phenomenon not only of the Ukrainian but also of the world theatre.
