3. It was shown, that the selection of breeding forms with high genetically condi-tioned level of grain quality would be more effective by using of newly elaborated sedimentation index S120, which took into consideration the auto-proteolitic activity of wheat flour. In comparisson to generally accepted protocols (Zeleny, SDS), the utilisation of that method showed considerably improved discrimitation of breeding samples with various backgrounds. The close correlation between S120 test (after autolysis of flour) and dough strength index W (r=0.90) showed the reability of flour "strength" prediction by applying S120. The possibility to create the extra-strong wheat genotypes was shown on the base of high physical properties of flour in the carriers of Gld 1A 10, Gld 1B 15 and especially Glt 1B5 alleles. The system of laboratory test for quality evaluation of wheat breeding material was proposed for use in breeding programs at the different breeding nurseries. The system includes the use of PAGE in combination with C 120 protocol on early stages of breeding for maximum inсorease of breeding population with high quality geno-types variation. At the final stages of breeding also in primery seed production nurseries it is reasonable to apply a complex test for the end use quality.
