The thesis presents the completing and systematization of theoretical and pedagogical ideas of the educator, the main stages of their development. Also main approaches to the up bringing of the children who are out of pedagogical support and care are determined here, the dissertation is the first to generalize the practical social and educational activities of Corolenko, the main tendencies are determined and characterized, the research distinquishes and explains the main tendencies and perspectives of using the social pedagogical heritage of the scientist in the contemporary conditions.
