Rogotchenko O. Fine Arts of Soviet Ukraine in the 1930 s.

This thesis shows the social-political and social-psychological background, created by soviet ideologists the only direction of the development of art culture and inevitable brutal dependance of the artist. Peculiar variety of soviet totalitarism in Ukraine and its similarity with other totalitarial systems is revealed. The pecularities of art process in Eastern and Central Ukraine of this period from the point of view of the artist are analyzed from all sides for the for the first time. An attempt is made to disprove the mythes about absence of the opposition to creative method forced by the goverment during the second half of the 1930s. Some documents and art words unknown before as well as a new name of the Ukrainian artist I.Udovitsa are instilled into scientific literature.
