Dorogina O. Peculiarities of preventive work with vulnerable children of juniour school age in the secondary boarding schools.

Subject: preventive upbringing of junior pupils of boarding schools. Aim: to ground scientifically and to test content, forms and methods of preventive work with vulnerable junior pupils of secondary boarding schools. Methods: theoretical: analysis, synthesis, disengagement/abstraction, systematisation, comparison, generalisation; empirical: observation, conversation, questionnaire, interview, analysis of activity products; pedagogic experiment. Findings: for the first time the specific character of psychic development and behaviour of vulnerable children of junior school age in the boarding schools have been defined and analysed as well as the most characteristic deviations, which condition their vulnerability; the main shortcomings of educational process of boarding schools have been determined; the content of preventive upbringing has been elaborated.
