The dissertation analyses essential problems of modern sociophonetics. The work deals with dynamics of variability in the context of phonostylistic peculiarities of the vowel pronunciation in the Swiss regional variety in terms of the modern pronunciation standard of the French language. The work determines the types of statistically received data coorelations for the timbre vowel characteristics expressed in the quantitative indices for FI and FII in male and female speech realised through three vocal oppositions of the French language in Roman Switzerland /a/~/A/, /e/~/D/, /C/~/o/.
